Topics we cover
On our site we cover topics that are related to travel experience in the Pacific Northwest. You can send us articles about your personal travel experiences, events, adventures, travel tips, restaurants and anything else that you think will be interesting for people who visit the region or who are looking for new entertainment ideas.
Currently we accept articles for the states of Washington and Oregon as well as for British Columbia.
How to submit an article?
If you have an Abstract, please send it to the Editor at editor@travelweaver.net. The Abstract should be at least one (1) paragraph outlining the focus and main points of your article. Also include a closing paragraph listing the benefit(s) to the reader.
If a draft of the Article is ready, please send it the Editor at the above mentioned email address. The Article should be between 1,000 and 2,500 words in length. Keep commercialism minimal, and refrain from mentioning your company, product or name more than once. Please do not submit any sales or marketing-oriented material; if submitted, such will be deleted from your article or the whole article will not be published.
The Editor will contact you regarding your article. In general, abstracts and articles are read within 48 hours of submission.
You will be asked to submit your final article text to the Editor at least 72 hours before the intended date of publication. The Editor determines the final publication date; publication dates may be changed at the Editor’s discretion.
If you are frequent Contributor to our web site you may request Contributor account. In order to do so please send an email to the Editor at the above mentioned email address.
Submitting digital photos
Each article must be accompanied by at least four (4) high quality photographs that visually complement the article. You can send as many photos as you want, however we do not guarantee publishing of all of them. Please read the photo requirements below before you submit your article.
Each image accompanying your article must adhere to the following requirements:
- File format: JPG, JPEG
- Megapixels: 1.2 at minimum
- Image Size: 1280 x 960 at minimum
Please send each image in a separate email to avoid email provider limits. In the subject of the email please write your article name and the image number.
All images should be watermark free and you should be the sole owner of the images.
Submitting digital videos
We accept also short videos related to your article. Those videos will be published on our YouTube channel, and will be features on the article if published. The requirements for those videos are as follows:
- Length: between 1.5 mins and 3 mins
- File format: .MOV, .MP4, .3GPP, .AVI, .WMV
- Resolution: 640 x 480 at minimum
All videos should be watermark free, titles free and you should be the sole owner of the videos.
Things to keep in mind
TravelWeaver LLC reserves the right to edit all submissions for clarity and length, and according to above written editorial guidelines and publications policies. It is understood that once your Article is accepted, and you sign and return the Author’s Release to Publish form for that Article, your Article (or sections of it) may be published, at our discretion, on TravlWeaver.net web site.
